Grell's Chainsaw Process 1 by TsukiLion Grell's Chainsaw Process 1 by TsukiLion
*English*

I was hoping to post a tutorial of how I did the chainsaw T__T but I realized I didn't take all the pictures!! How silly T_T...but I did the best I could with the ones I have ^^u...ok, so this was basically what I did.

First I draw the chainsaw and put the sizes taking into account my own height, designed the pieces and took into account the colors of each other, the chainsaw is basically done with different foams, then painted with spray, and other parts are normal paiting (black and red) and for sticking it together we used (at the end my stepfather helped me a lot XD, I was a mess when I had to put it all together XD) screw or bolt (I think that's the name O.O) and packing rings.

I started constructing all the pieces with the foams, then wrap it with the right cardboard colors and finally the all together XD

(The box in step 3 was my main base, which is the black box in the center of the chainsaw)

I'm not so good explaining ^^u if you have questions be free to ask!!!
I will post now the final process XD hope it helps a bit all of you wishing to do it too

Finished Chainsaw [link]

For the wood parts, did you cut them into those shapes or did you buy them somewhere?

The whole chainsaw I think, it was like US$ 300 more or less hence there were a lot of recycled pieces XD

I don't remember well the dimensions cause I tried doing it taking into account my own size and I tried to do it proportionally >.< and I did the sketches taking anime pictures as references and chainsaws made by other cosplayers, dunno if it helps but in this website pictures are bigger and maybe you can understand things better ^^ [link] hope it helps!

Hello dear! Sorry the delay on reply >.< which parts are you interested on the measures?
Something you may take into account when doing it is your own size and if you get a middle box, like I did, it can be like a start point to make the other parts X3 but it's mostly [the center body of the chainsaw] like a shoe box :D

Thank you so much! X3 the center box is like 9/10 inches long and the blade almost 40 inches long, it ended to be too long actually ;A; so you could do it shorter indeed and still look really good :D any other question don´t hesitate to ask and good luck <3
